Over 2 Weeks Old

We have had Elisa with us for close to 4 weeks now but even at a few days it felt like she'd been part of our family forever. And it isn't just the lack of sleep :) At around 2 weeks, Daddy felt it was about time she started to sit up. She was having a bit of a crazy hair day.

Uh Oh. Growly bear turns into timid bunny. Sigh. I love her.

Our little chubby cherub is either winking at us or peeking to see if we still have that darned camera pointed at her.

Tallan gives Elisa a little love. "Welcome to the family, baba".


Our neighbours come for a visit to see Elisa. Marie plays with Tallan. Like his Daddy, it appears that Tallan also loves older girls :) He loves her visits.

Elisa spends a little awake time watching them.

With Elisa requiring so much attention, Tallan has taken to feeding himself. There isn't much left in the bowl, but it was mashed potatoes :) He's so grown up. Sniff, sniff.


Elisa is very alert and seems to be quite aware of her surroundings. It's so nice to see her develop so quickly visually. She responds to hanging objects like mobiles and, maybe it was a coincidence, but I swear she was reaching for these toys. A baby genius!
