We also secured tickets to go see Dora and Diego in person at Brentwood mall because Tallan was, for a short time, crazy about Diego. It was a sold out show and we had one happy little camper who was super waiting in line. Elisa, who wasn't nearly as excited about Dora & Diego, went with Daddy to Zellers while we waited.
It must have been mascot day at the mall because we also ran into a giant hedgehog for Purdy's chocolate. We were going to take a picture of that too, but Daddy needed to redeem his coupon for free hedgehog chocolates asap :)
Although the summer seemed to take forever to get started, before we expected it to, we did have some nice weather in April and May. We headed to the beach for some time by the water...before it got too busy with the summer rush.
Tallan was really into throwing rocks in the water, and his side kick Esa B was happy to watch him from the sidelines :)
She only gave us the best ones after first giving them a smell check. That's quality control for you!
We also went to the Aquarium. Tallan really liked the touch and feel exhibit in the play area, but got in a bit of trouble when he picked up a sea cucumber. Hey, if you're going to have a touch and feel exhibit, I think his picking it up was fair game.
Elisa continues to entertain us by finding new uses for ordinary objects like Tallan's underwear.
June also brought a visit from Mom and Papa Joe which was a lot of fun.
We also hit a spraypark where Tallan and Elisa showed off how well they play together now :)
Also in June, we celebrated my mom's 75th birthday with a family night in Seattle. We were no strangers to Seattle but just to make sure, Elisa the tour guide points out the "Tower of Power".
Tallan had taken a spill and refused to walk. In these pics he was trying to refuse to smile because I told him not to, but that great smile breaks out anyway :)
The kids also loved their room at the hotel where they practiced their gymnastics skills. Somersaults into the playpen. All the laughter suggested it was quite a fun activity :) Good thing the hotel had lots of extra blankets to pad the playpen. First Tallan and then Elisa show off their skills. 10/10 for both of them!
