September

So I decided to spoil you all with another post :) With Halloween coming up, Tallan decided he wanted to be Captain America. Luckily, the Captain America movie was out this year so finding a costume was not very hard. I was able to find one at Value Village (new) and after a big ordeal and fight over the pricing of it, we were able to buy it and make one little boy a very happy little man :) Because it was such an ordeal, the costume went on right away and you can have this pre-Halloween preview!

Our lovely Esa, who has fallen in love with dresses and all things girly, is going to be...little red riding hood :)

Not the most enthusiastic, but here she is taming the big bad wolf...pup

Elisa seems to have 2 personality types. Type A: Beautiful Princess

Type B: Silly Princess

Ok - so she has some help and encouragement from her brother....

Since Tallan is crazy about superheroes (Mike has a tear in his eye - he thought this day would never come), and he is currently very interested in Captain America, Daddy took him to a 7:30pm showing of Captain America - just the 2 of them! So while Daddy and Tallan are out on a date night, what are 2 girls supposed to do?

Well, I guess a night of make-up, nail painting, dress-up, and a princess movie is in order! Here is my little princess after some finger and toe nail painting, some makeup, and a LOT of lip gloss (she really wanted to do it herself)....perhaps you can't tell, but the chapstick/lip gloss is all over her cheeks, lips, and nose.

Here she is showing off her Tinkerbell purse we bought for the occassion (along with the fingernail polish, lip gloss, chapstick, and nail file).

She was inseparable from her chapstick which we said was lipstick. She LOVED it, but unfortunately, she ate it. Almost the entire tube. Sigh. She wouldn't let me take her from her and when I finally got a hold of it - it was a mostly empty :( We'll have to work on that...

And thanks to a little potty incident, Elisa got to pick her 2nd dress for the evening. Good thing we have a closet full of princess dresses :)

Here she's running to get our movie for the night. Any guesses?

Cinderella. Our first time :) She loved it. BUT, now she introduces me to strangers as her mean step mother. Sigh. How to explain....
